Week 3 Contribution: Holly - Places to take rubbish & recycling off campus!
My task was to research into where we could remove rubbish & recycling off-campus. I decided to research into both the rubbish and recycling solutions we have:
In terms of recycling we have various options, one being a company called misprint, who I believe are already being used on campus. The can drop off bins and any paper recycling we have can be placed into these bins which'll then be taken away and made into notebooks.

Waste management provide a variety of services for tertiary institutes covering everything from front load bins, wheelie bin general waste, cardboard recycling, wheelie bin recycling, office paper recycling and more.

Further to this the Wellington City Council provides rubbish collection so if we could find where the on-campus rubbish gets put, this would also be another method of collection. They also provide free bin sets for events, "We have 15 sets of 240L bins with hoods that you can use for free at events held in Wellington city." Conditions for borrowing the free bins are: The bins must be monitored by at least one person for the duration of the event to make sure the bins are used correctly. You must organise for the collection and disposal of all waste collected at the event. They also include this information on their website in regards of what to do with waste:
