Week 6: Alissa
This week we made a model of our offering. As an industrial design student that makes architectural scale model for fun in my spare time, I really enjoyed this exercise. It was also very beneficial to be able to see our offering physically in space. I also brought a lot of materials and equipment that myself, my group and several other groups used this week including masking tape, rulers and a tape measure. For this exercise I gladly volunteered to build a 1:10 scale model of our designated hallway space.
Meanwhile, my group was working together to source images of every component of our offering and print them. They then cut them all out and stuck them all together with a production line sort of system. One person was cutting and passing down to one person who was sticking and passing to one person who was attaching to the model. They checked with me before printing to see if the balloon and human scales were right.
I think this was the first time I have really seen my group working so well together. Everything happened so fast and smoothly because everyone was willing to participate and communicate. It gives me a lot of hope that we will be able to smoothly run an expo offering together.
