Week 8 Waste management: Hilary

What we can do to reduce waste as a collective

- posters around while setting up or dismantling stalls, information on where rubbish can go and what to do to recycle or re-use products you've made for the next weeks collective.
Could post on the facebook group so it reaches everyone in our collective

Where to take rubbish on campus..

- Big blue bins situated around campus which are for general rubbish, these can be found outside of T block and block 11

- Green bins normally situated next to the blue bins which hold recycling like cardboard

- Yellow and green bins which hold plastic bottles and cans

- Small recycling bins can also be found outside of the library as there are lots of paper recycling bins all over campus

Reduce waste- make poster or leaflet
- Has to relate to aesthetic of other posters of collective

Recycle all our products, try to use paper not plastics. (Try to reduce the amount of printing, Try to keep things digital as much as possible)

Use a compost for food waste

Use reusable cups and metal straws
Source already recycled products
Put the right things in the right bins
Share and borrow supplies from other teams
Try and use as much paper and card board rather than plastic as is can be more easily recycled
Hire or borrow more expensive bigger items from uni

Try to buy supplies such as materials and props at op shops

Use re-usable bags for when we are sourcing our products

This Week we finished off our proposal and production plan and went through more health and safety regarding us as well as the rest of the collective. We're up to finalising all the details of our stall and making sure we buy all the necessary things before our expo. Holly designed the steps of questions before popping the respected coloured balloon then we helped find questions to fill these decision making spots (relating to the balloon colour) which would hopefully make our participants question themselves a bit at the start of the expo
