Week 10- Hosting an expo at immaterial labours.

Our offering to the expo of immaterial labours.

Our teams expo was called cause and consequence, and so we were offering the people who walked through options that they had to choose from in a questionnaire and then they would get the "consequence" which was a balloon being popped over they heads and they were either filled with water, paper confetti or glitter confetti. We all had roles to fulfil before the expo had began and during the expos durations. My role during the expo was to be the person giving out the consequence, so i was getting the person to sit on the chair and popping the balloon over their head. I enjoyed this role and i had fun popping the balloons and seeing the people reactions with what came out, as many did not expect it. I think that our team worked well together as we always kept in contact with each other and let each other know what was happening. We always messaged through facebook chat about what was happening throughout the week and what needed to be done, so i think communication in the group was strong. I think that we collaborated well and we all let each other speak and took into consideration everyone ideas and we appreciated when someone put effort into the work for the expo. I think i could have been more reliable within the team as sometimes i was not able to be there for some of the classes or sessions so feel that i could have let my team down by giving them more of the work load, but i did try to keep up with work and put in my fair share and to collaborate and not let them down. I preferred being on the logistical side of things such as filling out more of the written sides of things and doing research as i felt this helped not only me understand better but was also going to be beneficial for my team. For prototyping, i do think our process was efficient and allowed us to understand what needed to be done on the day. Although there was no way of knowing how many balloons we needed, so unfortunately we had blown up too many balloons, but at least we were prepared for more people. Also last minute our balloon storage room was taken from us so we had to re think this and come up with a solution with where we could put the balloons so that we could easily refill those that were popped, and i think we did this quite well considering how last minute the room was taken from us. From doing this expo i learnt how to work in a bigger group a lot better and understood that a lot of communication needs to happen for things to run smoothly and for everyone to share work fairly. I can definitely take what i learnt in this course into further coursework in university as i can take the whole process of planning and setting up for a outcome, as this helped for a stronger finally piece, which is definitely something i will remember in future projects.
