Week 2 - Teams, staff mentor & brainstorming

This week we met all the other groups and shared everyone’s team photos and names. This was very interesting to see who else is in our collective and will be creating expos along side us. We eventually decides on our name SIX CHICKS (since there’s six of us and we are all girls) 

I got started thinking about what our immaterial expo could look like and decided to draw some inspiration from other expos around Wellington.  

The Go Green expo is happening in November so I wont be able to go and draw inspiration for our expo, but I will try and go afterwards anyway. It takes place in the TSB arena, a big hall with all the stalls and experiences in one place. This would be a good idea for our expo to keep it condensed and easy to navigate. 

At the Go Green expo they have a seminar called 5 ways to reduce waste. This teaches people how to be more green by reducing plastic waste. I am passionate about helping the environment and would like to try incorporate something like this into our expo. Somewhere people can learn an important skill (like how to help the environment for example) but also have fun. This would be an immaterial exchange as we would not be physically giving expo goers a material object but we would be giving them useful knowledge.
