Week 5: Alissa
My group presented our offering ideas and facilitation role pitch to the collective.
As a group I was very pleased with everyone's involvement in the presentation, not just one or two people. I was also surprised a little at my group members enthusiasm and belief in our offering. I think having to describe it to the collective helped us better understand it and possibly discover any issues such as capacity for guests to move through our offering and creating bottle necks or tripping hazards. It also made us know what direction we really wanted to go in and gave us a bit of drive and commitment when we had to defend our ideas when we were questioned by the rest of the collective.
I think we are all very happy with our offering idea and I am rather surprised at the ease and speed that we seem to be able to make decisions as a group.
It was very beneficial to hear the opinions of the rest of the collective and get some ideas and tips of how to bring our offering idea into a sort of theme.
During the executive meeting I volunteered on behalf of my group to take on the facilitation role of waste management as we had already been the ones to research it and didn't feel it was a very big task that interfere with our desire to have a more complex and involved offering contribution.
